Abingdon Neighbourhood Team updates.

Good evening.

First shift back after rest days for the Abingdon neighbourhood team and some great work between them saw two males arrested today.

Firstly, thank you so much to the member of Pubwatch who informed us of a male who was wanted on suspicion of a serious offence & had been sighted heading towards Drayton.

With a good direction of travel & description it gave us a chance of catching up with the male.

PC Musat, PC Osborne & PCSO Blood, along with two officers from Incident Crime Response deployed to area search.

We had been carrying out extensive enquires on our shifts before going on to days off & responding to sightings.

This evening, luck was shining on us, when PCSO Blood & PC Musat sighted him in a side road.

With PC Osborne & PC O’Reilly’s skilled driving, the male was boxed in on his bike. He then willingly gave himself up!

Another male was arrested earlier in the day after repeatedly swearing at members of the public, whilst sat drinking in The Motte, near to The Vineyard, Abingdon.

PCSOs Highmoor, Blood & Holt responded, where they supported PC Osborne when he arrested the male for Public Order offences. We don’t expect members of the public to have to listen to such disgusting language.

Both males are currently in custody, where the investigations are ongoing.

We are going off duty now after a long shift but back tomorrow to do it all again.
